Deep amber rose color. Honey and floral notes on the nose. nice legs given that I understand it's a blend of six through 12 year whiskeys. It comes in super hot. Much hotter than you'd expect from a 116 proof whiskey. Obviously, that's going to put a lot of bitterness on the tongue. I can still pick up the wood. This one really benefits from water. Very much reminds me of a Woodford Double Oak. If you're a fan of whiskeys from heavily charred barrels this is a good choice for you. I prefer a lighter char.
