The second Talisker for the evening. On the nose, the first thing I noticed is that the alcohol burn is a lot stronger than on the Skye despite having the same ABV. After that you get a bit of peat, combined with pears and orange. On the taste it heavily reminds me of honey cereals and sweet malt combined with pepper and smoke. The aftertaste is honey, pepper and salt. All in all, while I liked the Skye, I prefer this one over it. But yeah, as many have stated, the name is not fitting, this is far from a storm, rather a rainy night in the city. Enjoyable, if you are in the mood for it. Now on the the 10 year old...but first I'm gonna enjoy what I have left of the storm in my glas (yeah I'm writing these while tasting so maybe some sentenced don't make all that much sense).
