For a cheap bourbon, this one hits the mark. The nose is a sweet one that also packs a punch, and may be my personal favorite part of the whiskey. I get a bit of vanilla-butterscotch smell that stings the nose in just the right way. The taste has a bit of a sawdust flavor profile that leads to a sweet syrup and spice mixture (cinnamon/nutmeg?) The finish is a bit harsh, but not unpleasant and a bit on the short side. A very solid bourbon.
