Oct 2017. A little water helped.
Musky, sawdust smell, and smells like a musky dad hug from long ago. Lovely sweet taste, with just a hint of peat at the back end. Sweet aftertaste.
Tasted just after a pleasurable second tasting of Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy that was bumped from a four to a five star rating.
Second tasting a bit harsher but still nice. The musky nose improves during latter sips.
Third tasting while watching United vs West Brom (delayed) in late December. First dram of the night. Loved it! Worth a 4.5 and will now elevate this to the top shelf.

@1901 Completely agree. This bottle remains near the top of my list. Should always be on any whisky shelf
Over a year later I still rate this highly for what it is. For me it’s a musky, sweet regular sipper.
