The best way I can describe this is smelling a campfire and drinking ocean water. Both of these are good things, though. The ocean taste is subtle but helps break through the smoky nose, and it finishes smooth after an initial kick of smoky/peaty goodness. I thought Laphroaig was my standard-bearer among the smoky peat moss set, but this one earned its place near the top!
