Scott_E is on the money with this one. Tropical, light and sweet. This was a newly opened bottle and had the unfortunate timing of being tried with a 97 glenthroes and Van winkle 12 so sadly very much 3rd place. Solid 3.

Yes that is the problem with samples doesn't give you a chance to experience the whiskey evolving. That being said I can't say I've had anything I've disliked or thought was average on the initial opening turn into something stunning later on. Usually get an initial bump a week or two after opening then the slow or fast slide down hill. There are always exceptions though :-).
This one is interesting. Not overly impressed at first, my opinion has become heaps more favorable as I’ve gotten acquainted with the bottle. Really nice & clean whisky.
