Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland

Dear Mr. Glenmorangie, with much regret I must inform you that your services as our Highland single malt of choice will no longer be needed. We have decided to move on to a lower cost model that delivers the same level of quality in Ms. Balblair. She offers the same orchard fruit aromas. Followed by the same chocolate-y taste, but at a more reasonable price. I'm sorry, but in today's economic climate, we need to look at ways of maximizing ROI and reduce costs. But, we're offering you a great severance package. Also, please feel free to use us as a reference, should some other shmuck decide to pay your premium price.

I wish I could find any balblair for less than any of the standard glenmorangie releases (10-12yr)
Yes I haven't been a big fan either. The original is good value though.
The Original and the 18 year old are the only Glenmorangies that have ever attracted my interest. The whole raft of NAS expressions can sink as far as I'm concerned. This sounds like a real alternative, but unfortunately impossible to buy over here. Great review.
Besides a few (Signet comes to mind), I've generally not been a fan, and found them expensive than their worth. Can be a personal taste thing
Eh interesting I've found Glenmorangie generally not to be to expensive. You can get the 18 year for around $80 from memory. Are their NAS prices going up?
I really like this one. Perfect on a Wisconsin winter night...warms you to the bone.
Glad you liked that one Pranay. I highly enjoyed it too. I know a place that has the 80s one, but the price. Oh my.
Nice one. I picked up some miniatures of 25 yo Balblair 1990, curious to try them!
