Day 17, back into Borubon territory (can't belive it's christmas next week). Not a fan of this. On the nose a lot of oak, some light caramel and salt. That's pretty much how it tastes, along with some vanilla. Not quite sure what's supposed to be sweet here, but this is anything but. One dimensional, bitter, thin. No real aftertaste. The Four Roses is far superior in my opinion.

According to the Master of Malt page it should be the 12 year and not the NAS. I can see people liking this, and it's not a horrible whiskey, it just really didn't work for me. Not sure why, I just dislike everything about this. I'll try to get my hands on another sample, maybe this one was compromised (the wax seal might not have worked), that might explain the thin watery taste.
I do agree with @Generously_Paul that this is a good Bourbon. However, the 12 year has been replaced by a NAS and the quality not on par with that age. @Reverend45, which version was this, if you happened to know? I have not yet Tasted the NAS so I cannot offer a knowledgeable opinion.
This is actually one of my favorite bourbons. Most people seem to really like it
