Interesting nose..Slight sweetness with sawdust (pleasant), and light spices like nutmeg, along with vanilla, caramel, and toffee. The palate brings brown sugar, butter, a little nice bite of alcohol. A few drops of water brings out a fresh cut grass, and vegetative notes. This reminds me of the great plains prairies, so the theme of this dram is "Song for America" by Kansas. A nice long finish indeed! 4.25. Awesome job at finding this one Lee. Thanks!

After this solid review and Paul's, I think I'll give this a go tonight. Lee---this might be the first IB out of our trading samples that makes it beyond 3 stars
Nice review @Telex I loved this one. A solid 4.5 @LeeEvolved just go over my notes when you go to it next and see if you can pick out the same things. If not, then add some water. It should reveal itself.
This is another malt that’s kind of left me hanging like the Compass Box Double Single- I’ve sampled it from the bottle 2-3x and I keep waiting on something more. Paul got a lot from this one and had my hopes up (ridiculously) high and I guess I can’t decipher it or it just isn’t there. I’m going to wait until the bottle is mostly gone before I render my verdict. Nice review, though. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Cheers.
