Ryoma Japanese Rum 7 Year
Aged Rum — Shikoku, Japan

Day 23. Japanese "Rum". Not sure if this stuff even deserves the name Rum. The nose is sour/bad wine, some vanilla and citrus. Taste is old, stale, sour beer and some spices. No aftertaste, thank the goddamn heavens. This is the first thing that gets a 1 star from me. Unedible and simply disgusting. Not worth almost 70 bucks for a damn bottle.

After tasting a few other rums (Ron Zacapa 23, Diplomatico Reserva, Havana Club 7), this rum was there first I would have scored 4 stars. While all other rums had added sugar and a rather spirity arrival, Ryoma 7 was a real treat. I actually consider buying a bottle!
Yep. And for the price of one bottle of this you can get a bottle of the Diplomatico and a bottle of the Chairman's forgotten casks....both are vastly superior. I mean, it's like this is Jim Beam and the others are EH Taylor...
It sounds like the worst rhum agricole ever made :-(
