My first full bottle of Kilchoman, a blind purchase after having sampled the Loch Gorm. I'm so glad I did.
Peat. A lot of peat, and smoke. Salt, peppery spices, and some citrus fruits, and some dark chocolate. Similar to the Machir Bay, but the added hint of fruity sweetness by the Oloroso finish is definately a plus!

Try their recent wine matured one. It’s not winey all ( maybe they selected casks that had a low tannin wine), but rather has layers of flavor
This was a great bottle. I’m currently drinking through the cask strength from 2016. It’s quite strong but holds up really well. I like where Kilchoman is heading. Great review, cheers.
