For the love of God, please stop gifting this to your friends who love whisk(e)y. Odds are that if they're into whisky, they've already had much better whisky - Canadian and non-Canadian - within the same price point or a few dollars extra. This tastes generic in the sadder sense and can come off quite rough on the taste. If they're new to whisky and are interested, there are much smoother, friendlier, and better-tasting whisky out there. If I would recommend this for anything, it would to have as a mixer, for your run-of-the-mill college parties, and as a reference point for better Canadian whisky; On the merit of the latter, I would give this whisky a 1.5-2, but because of my outstanding grudge against this, I'll leave the distiller.com rating at 1.
