This is one of my favorite bourbons to enjoy neat. I realize that single barrels can differ depending on the barrel, so this particular bottle I enjoyed is from warehouse RS and barrel 13-1W. The nose is very enjoyable: sweet smelling with vanilla and brown sugar dominating. Taste: First of all this bourbon goes down easily. Vanilla, oak, caramel, apple, and chocolate are flavors my palate detects. The rye provides a nice peppery bite. Afterwords, apples and hints of chocolate linger. Wow, what a bourbon. I liked this one a lot.
