Trying this for the first time.
Light honey colored. Light bodied with an oily mouthfeel.
I didn’t get to try this in a glencairn so I’ll probably change my review and ranking down the road, but upon first tasting, I give it 3.2/5 or a 3 on here. It’s fine, but I think I need more to appreciate the finish which packs a bit too much bite for my palate.
Nose: soft fruity sweetness-some raisin and bright citrus joined by Honey with hints of sea salt and mellow smoke also present.
Palate: Soft fruity sweetness and honey lead the way. The whisky heats up in the middle with some oak and smoke. The finish is a bit hot and reveals surprising smoke and oil, leaving a lingering some smokiness, spicy oak, and crisp fruitiness behind.
