Don't be so quick to judge... At first I was let down. I'm a big Turkey fan and had high hopes. The nose is wonderfully full with cherry and vanilla, brown sugar... But at first the palette is what disappointed me. After one glass I was ready to rate it 3.5 stars just because of the pallette. It seemed bland, almost watered down. The finish is strong with lots of oak and pepper, but I like that pallette to come out swinging. After a few more glasses, it's dawned upon me that the pallette is just a bit more delicate than perhaps I'm used to... (single barrel, 120+ proof bourbons.) Once you take the time to savor it (isn't that how it should always be) it really comes out and shines. I'm not experienced enough with tasting notes to really detail it, but I am definitely enjoying sipping this neat. It's fantastic. And I'm glad I gave it more time! My local liquor store has this at $33, and I'd buy it all day for that.
