I am literally plowing through our round 5 of the Scottish distillery trading team. This one here courtesy of @LeeEvolved . I normally don’t drink this much, seriously. Really. I’m normally the the type of guy that wakes up 4:30, in the gym for an hour, then working my ass off making a living, till the weekend finally comes when it tae Kwon do to swimming to piano kid shuttle. And a drink only on Friday and Sunday. Rest of the days is matcha green tea. But...something about this round 5 that I’m just plowing through..,like I want to get it over with so I can enjoy the hot little tamales of bonus samples ( Macallan Rare cask and the Kilchoman Red Wine one, beckoning my name like sexy little sirens). Okay...enough ranting. Now...this here is a 17 yr old acting like a prepubescent teen. Much like today’s youth. It’s got aromas of bread baking in the oven, with a nice non-confrontational palette that is like your typical Stepford wife. Lingering finish...not bad. Like honeycombs dipped in chocolate. Not sure of the price...but it’s worthy of something you’d bring out as Balvenie 12’s older brother. thanks for the sample @LeeEvolved

Ouch @LeeEvolved ,ouch. It really hurts me to think that you think that I would demand ice in my scotch. No wonder you can never please me. You’ll never get that raise now!
Haha...for a moment I thought you were serious about the shows..I had my doubts when I got to the noodles and the last part sealed it. You guys will have a blast... I've never had 10 hours go so quickly....
@Soba45 - I don’t think Distiller could handle a second LeeEvolved- too much suck would easily crash their servers. On a side note, do to my popularity here, I have been approached to host several television and online channels and shows. One called “So You Think You Can Distill...”- I’d be a judge at a moonshine convention in the hills of the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. Or “Iron Microwave Chef America”- where I teach up and coming hermits, like myself, how to make ramen noodle bowls in under 90 seconds. But my favorite job opportunity has to be as a chauffeur/man servant to our very own @Generously_Paul in an online reality show called “Pick Me Up At The Airport, Bitch. And There Better Not Be Ice In My Scotch When You Do”. It’s a feel good, drama/comedy series where I can’t ever seem to please him. It’s surprisingly real.
That's how it starts...one dram here or there...then five in a week...then nearly 100 a week over dramfest and then you change your distiller handle to LeeEvolved the 2nd and start counting by the bottle :-). I haven't evolved to the last stage yet...
@LeeEvolved yeah—-hopefully will trend upwards. Either way...the bonus samples have some nice ones ( Macallan Rare, Kilchoman Red Wine, and Springbank 24).
@PBMichiganWolverine - I’ve sipped on this Benrinnes a few times and I’m almost ready to write my review. I concur- it’s solid and non-confrontational for sure. It may be the best Berry Bros bottle we’ve tried in the tour, so far. Glad you enjoyed it. It’s about time some of these samples start trending upwards.
Oh that Rare Cask Black...I have to taste it again soon just to see if it holds up after having tasted oh so many drams during this tour. I gave it a 5 and @LeeEvolved gave it a 4.75. It’s super sherry sweet but I just didn’t want the flavors to end!
