Nose: Starts with intense smoke. Smoke fried bacon with tar and lots of peat. Hints of pine trees. This is a peat monster!
Taste: Salt and smoke on the background, very peaty. Rich with peat, oil, spices and medicinal notes. Oh, and did I mention peat already?
Finish: Peat is the main factor with some collision of smoke. Drops of oil in the mix as well.
Balance: This is as close you can get to a camp fire barbecue in whisky heaven. A tough customer, if I may borrow some hockey fight talk. A good but rough dram, just the way I want it!
