Flavored Whiskey — USA

Thanks to @The_Rev , I got to try my first Alabama whiskey. Honestly, I was expecting something closer to moonshine...just knowing that Clyde May was a moonshiner. I was dead wrong. This is more a mix of the heather / honey of a Speysider with the corn sweetness of a Kentucky bourbon. Thanks @The_Rev !

Glad you enjoyed it all! We must have the same delivery guy; ours left a box full of photo albums of our daughter's first year in a snowbank in front of the garage. Thank God they were wrapped in plastic!
@Rick_M LOL...funny story on that 82 Gran Reserva. My dad gave it to me LONG time ago when I graduated from University of Michigan. He said to open it one day for a special occasion. I never had whisky before...hardly even had beer. But I opened it that same night, shared it with a bunch of friends, mixing it with Diet Coke, ginger ale, and even root beer. To us, it tasted awful back then. Idiots.
@The_Rev my apologies on not reviewing the other ones...with the mailman leaving the package out in the snow, it wore off the labels. I had no idea what I drank..except it was damn good.
@Rick_M - I saw a bottle in your neck of the woods for the low low price of $2800. Buy 2, so you can open one... 😛
My pleasure to share; glad you enjoyed it! It’s a nice, easygoing dram...and combines well with sparkling apple cider, cinnamon schnapps, and cardamom bitters to make a Christmas cocktail I call The Flirty Elf.
@PBMichiganWolverine - yes almost as expensive as an 82 Gran Reserva. :)
@Rick_M I noticed you changed the profile pic...Lagavulin 37??!! I didn’t realize it was such a thing
I just drank through a small 375ml bottle of that stuff and thought it wasn’t bad either. Mixed well, too.
