Barrel #3417 Nose has a very pleasant brown sugar, baking spices and vanilla. Not many esters burning the nose as the KC Small Batch. On palette it has a great flavor of vanilla, maple and spices. The Single Barrel has a big bold taste that isn't over shadowed by wood. The finish is nice, not overpowering. Medium-long and pleasant. A nice warmth spreading and not the liquid fire of the Small Batch. The Single Barrel has a better flavor and finish versus the Small Batch for just a few dollars more. Do yourself a favor, skip the Small Batch and go straight to the Single Barrel. It beats it hands down! Makes me want to grab a bottle of Bookers.
