I'll echo @Soba45 on the needed water, sorry @LeeEvolved. (He's going to give me @#$% now, I know, for sure). Anyway, this is a 57.9% ABV, so it can hold a few drops, trust me. Neat at first though, always, I went for the nose and got a nice bit of pear, vanilla, straw/hay, woody oak, faint cinnamon, and some nice leather. Of course, it's still a Springbank type after all. Next, on the palate, the barolo cask comes through (north italian wine), and I can see why it's adored. It really goes well with the oak/vanilla, minty cream, and brings out even more spice. The finish is medium length, with a medium mouth coat. The song for this dram is "Maridem" by Paroplapi. 3.75!

Peepyopee. That’s your new Hawaiian name
@Telex, I’m starting to think you are just making song titles and artists up at this point. Who the hell is Paroplapi? It sounds like the Hawaiian nickname that Paul Rudd’s character gave Jason Segal’s character in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. Hang on, lemme summon @Generously_Paul- he’ll know the nickname...
@Telex I have an acquaintance that always mixes 50/50 water/whiskey. His take—less damaging to health because of the lower the ABV. My take: makes no difference...Avogrado’s Number will still give him 6.02e23 molecules. (Sorry—-geek moment)
Sheriff he don’t like it!! ROCK THE CASBAH!! Lol
#facepalm
The water extremely helped. I put more water on than I usually do.
Good to see you actually got Barolo flavour out if it. I couldn't wrangle any out :-)
