Very pale yellow. Thin legs. A gentle and seductive nose. Honey, cream, and wildflower. A hint of hay and tart apple.
Gently sweet on the tongue then nothing. No flash of flavor. Empty. Slurping fumigates with menthol in the nasal cavity, and swallowing provides a mild astringency at the back of the throat, followed by menthol burn on the tongue and roof of mouth. Not terrible and I'll eventually get thru the bottle, but I should have let the low price for a 12-yr single malt deter instead of intrigue me. A small step up from the everyday blends, but not what I'm looking for. Pass.
