126.4. First neat, then a splash of water. Pleasant nose that surprisingly doesn't singe the nostrils. A clean, dominant scent that I can't place - a cousin to mint? First sips were sweet but oaky, and the only heat was on the finish. As the sips add up, the spice migrates from the throat to the mouth. Cherry, vanilla, licorice, root beer. Oak and char are consistent and prominent. Mint. Still trying to figure this one out. I like it, quite a bit, but it is different than most bourbons. Definitely not as refined and smooth as Stagg Sr. Like a 5.0 mustang instead of the AMG Benz. Lots of fun to drive, but all raw power and a bit unrefined.
