Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint

I am a whisky guy (whatever that is) and smugly scoff at vodka imbibers. At a whisky tasting, the ambassador provided samples of the new Ketel One botatanicals and I was surprised by what I tasted
The nose is all cucumbers with a touch of mint (surprise) The palate much of the same.
Why did I buy this you may ask (then again, maybe not)? For our beach house getaway, I thought this would be a perfect light and refreshing drink over ice, and it is. Light, crisp and refreshing.

You have to appreciate how flavored vodkas always include their tasting notes right there in the name for your convenience.
@PBMichiganWolverine ...same here. Mint, cucumbers, banana peppers and jalapeños are some of the few things my green challenged thumb can grow. One of the favorites of my friends and family is my cucumber/jalapeño infused gin. I always get requests for it during the summer.
@BDanner that was the same conversation I had with the ambassador:, that this is a gin equivalent. And I did have this over tonic with a lime twist. @PBMichiganWolverine if you vodka and to the water, you would have the same.
I have fresh cucumbers and mint growing in the summer right in our garden. So, I normally have water infused with mint and cucumber. Seems like the same concept, with a boozy twist.
Thanks for the review. I keep seeing the commercials for this and it promotes itself as "vodka infused with botanicals" and I always say "That's called gin". The difference here is the absence of juniper which many find off putting. I may have to give this one a try. Sounds like it would be good with a little tonic and lime.
