This may be my favorite new bourbon that I’ve tried. I found it to be a great combination of sweet and spicy, and the sweetness has some caramel and dark chocolate to it. For comparison, I think some of the Beam’s (namely, Knob Creek and Baker’s off the top of my head), can be more in the sweet corn-raisin-cinnamon family of sweetness, and 1920 just differs from that with the dark chocolate.
Disclosure: the dark chocolate became more apparent to me after resting for 30-45 minutes on my first pour. Without the rest it was lots of heat and no sweet.
Very good, and I will prob have to always have a bottle of this.
