Half a K, the W Mk, the five hundy or just plain 500 is how many tastes I've subjected my poor liver to and recorded on this site over the last couple of years. I'm very excited as I heard from a reliable source via another reputable source that I'm due a fabulous prize. A car maybe or maybe to save Mikael the effort of shipping it over to NZ a trip to Scotland. Anyhow whilst I wait in suspense the drop at hand. Slightly unfittingly not a whiskey but instead an NZ vodka with a bit of sentimentality given I used to drink this a bit when younger. One of the true NZ pioneer distillers. Its called 42 below because it's 42 degrees latitude below the equator, made with NZ wheat and NZ volcanic water. Cheap as well at under $30USD for a large 1000ml bottle. Sadly its now owned by Bacardi but still made the same way. It's a nice drop. Melow, mild viscosity and nice to drink straight...as I did whilst waiting for my plane to depart. 3.5 rounding up for VFM and sentimentality. I will wrap up this review with a poem entitled 'A little boy waits........for a car he suspects may not be coming '

500 tastes! That is a truly remarkable achievement. I would wager that your are leading the pack lengths and laps. Your nose and subsequent tasting notes are just reward as well as your well deserved bragging rights. Me, I’m developing a Rum and sadly I currently have physical tasting challenges along with inexperience l. @Rick_M Ah me accelerating to 500 wasn't the result of downing 50 or 60 in rapid succession it was purely due to the latest update. Previously ratings (without notes) and ratings with notes were counted separately. The 1st I was near 500 the 2nd around 440 or so. When they changed to tastings (a couple of iterations in) it was the former they counted. :-) I haven't heard a peep from @mikael yet although maybe this post will remind him...Mikael I'll go easy on you and settle for a Tesla Model 3 :-)
@Soba45 - congrats on sneaking past @PBMichiganWolverine. Did @mikael say when the new car would arrive? I’m with @Slainte-Mhath. Always in the mood to drink but rarely in the mood to write.

@PBMichiganWolverine Cheers :-). Yes maybe it is a car but they put it on top of a SpaceX rocket and launch it into orbit like that dummy that's circling around the earth in a SpaceX car right now!
@Generously_Paul Cheers! :-). Yeah I'd say due to no dramfest until 2020, my scottish tour finished and general slow down of drinking it'll take a while for me to get to the next 100 which my liver will thank me for!
@Soba45 I heard the prize was a free trip on SpaceX. Just double check if it’s one way or round trip. Congrats on the 500!
