From a distance, the nose is vanilla. Closer up, the amber colored elixir is rye and barrel spice.
On the palate, there’s more spice and some barrel char, as well as a bit of heat - a bit hotter than expected for its ABV.
The finish is fairly long and spicy, with some vanilla as I breathe out through my nose.
The palate is t up there with my favorite ryes like Knob Creek, Rittenhouse, and Crown Northern Harvest, but it gains some points back on finish. Side note: benefits from ice. 3 stars.

@DUBZ480 - In my opinion, Rittenhouse BIB is a much better whiskey than this one. I did a review a couple years ago and gave it 5 stars. Value for money played a role in that rating, but there’s no question in my mind that the spiciness and complexity of Rittenhouse makes it a better dram than Redemption.
Nice review. Would you place this above Rittenhouse BiB?
Addendum: tastes really sweet paired with a Perdomo Lot 23 cigar.
