A lot of alcohol in the nose. Toffee and nut up front. Long finish of alcohol. A large rock didn't help much. I usually really like wheated bourbon, but this is not for me. I don't understand all the high marks. The flavors are disjointed, and disconnected. Tastes a lot like plastic and medicinal alcohol. I like good flavorful bourbon and this doesn't qualify. I had high hopes for Larceny, and was trying it as part of my September Bourbon Challenge. I can't give it a higher score. There is just not a lot to like here for me. There are so many better $28 bourbons.

Larceny is what I call a 'rough around the edges" bourbon, it has some good points but it also has some off putting things, thats probably mostly due to aging as in lack of or premature, if you can;t stomach Larcen, and i don"t fault you if that"s the case, then go for Knob Creek SiB that's 9 years or Eagle Rare (10yrs), the unfortunate fact is you will likely pay more for the older, smoother, bourbon.
