Nose- This is my favorite part. Floral notes of vanilla and brown sugar are very present. I think this may be the best smelling bourbon that I have had the privilege of sniffing.
Body- Nicer than the 90 proof Weller. (Not that it is bad!) Vanilla and brown sugar sweetness are immediately present. Only after this do you get warmer spice notes of caramel and baking spices. The green apple is certainly there but not as prominent as in the WSR.
Finish- Long, silky finish. The caramel comes through here and coats the tongue.
This is another tongue tingler but ironically the higher proofing mellows the finish and eliminates much of the bitterness present in WSR.
This is tastiest wheated bourbon I have had to this point. Of course, I have not had the 12 year yet...
