I’ve past by this bottle countless times because Why but an Islay that isn’t peated? Boy, what a mistake. This is beyond delicious. It hits all my favorite notes and is so unique. It has what I can only describe as a pure barley taste that develops to a complex sweetness (honey?) that quickly transitions to a spicy Brine finish. Amazing.

@deuce26 welcome!
@m_scho I’m glad you reminded me I have looked my bottle up yet. Thanks!
I love this one but hated the 8 yrs old... Go figure it out... \o/
@deuce26 It’s a great little feature that Bruichladdich offer! Found out my bottle would be considered an 8yo if age was listed.
@m_scho didn’t know you can do that. Checking it out as we speak thanks!
@cascode I know it’s special. In fact I need another bottle!
I’m a sucker for the floral notes this gets from red wine casks. It’s very well composed.
Great stuff! It’s also worthwhile to go online on Bruichladdich’s website and see the different barrels that went into it!
