Tasted at a Glenmorangie vertical tasting. Had already tried the old version and rated it 3 stars. This new version is the 10 original aged in Oloroso Sherry Casks as the older one but also in PX Casks. I don’t know what kind of magic the PX did but this is clearly far superior than it was before. Now a 4 stars, and recommend that if you tried the old one and thought it was just regular, try this one and find out how better it is now.

@Scott_E I don’t think the change from 46 to 43% played a major difference. Probably the PX cask finish did. But obviously I could be wrong.
I have also heard that the older version wasn’t as good. Seemed to be issues with batch variations from what I recall
@AntonioSchmid I had the old one and was not wowed. That version was bottled at 46% while the new one, I believe, is bottled at 43%. I wonder if that is a major contributing factor? Still gunshy. Would have taste in a sample for I reconsider a purchase.
