So... I love port wine and port wine finished whiskies... Not this one! :(
Tasted at a Glenmorangie vertical tasting and for my surprise ranked n°6. The alcohol was too strong both on the nose and the palate. Not sign of the red/dark berries notes I was expecting on the nose... Got a lot better with some drops of water but still, quite not there!

@Benji-Robert Did you have the old or the new LaSanta? I think the new one (Oloroso&PX) is miles ahead of the old one.
@AntonioSchmid I feel exactly the same way about this one. I like port but not this Glenmo. at least it is drinkable unlike la Santa IMO.
@PBMichiganWolverine A friend of mine has the Manzanilla finish. Have to convince him to share it! :-)
I think it’s solid for its price point, but yes there are much better port finished whiskies to be had. Nice review.
@AntonioSchmid totally agree on this one. Wine finishes are tricky, but some have figured it out (Bowmore Vintner trilogy for example)
This seems to be a love it or leave it dram. Personally I love it. My favorite of the extra matured line.
