Spicy, rich oily mouth feel, and then corn sweetness, toffee and vanilla oak. Too sweet? Nice experiment with blue corn. Young-- may be even better with more time in oak and some smokiness.
Had a second bottle in 2019 with the same sentiments, but maybe a little more positive. Batch BB18-7, Bottle hand dated 9.5.18.
11/9/24 update. Cracked the 3d and last bottle I put away from 2018, Batch BB18-7, dated 9.5.18. Tasting neat.
Floral grain nose, sweet corn. In the mouth spicy and vanilla oak, sweet and dry grain. Thin mouthfeel (differs from my take 6 years ago). Finish is grassy spicy, dry oak tannins, rough around the edges, but... still pretty good for a young bourbon.
