Rich chewy caramelized oak, dark brown sugar, rye, and a slight hint of cinnamon. To me it tastes like a super concentrated version of Blanton’s, with less toffee sweetness. Where as Wild Turkey Rare Breed and Booker’s have a strong savoury peanut note this is all about the oak. A good high proof option. For me there’s not enough sweetness to balance out the dark oak and high proof to make it an enjoyable sipper. $85 in Ontario.
