Like PBM I'm down to a weekly dram or two these days and in fact it may even have been a couple of weeks since a dram passed my lips so this tasted great. I had to look up what Montilla Fino was and basically its a dry sherry from the small area / town of Montilla. I wouldn't say I've been awash in Oban tasting in my lifetime, this is the third after the 14 and Little Bay but I'd say it's my favourite so far. Butterscotch, honeyed-sherry, perfect sweetness and great balance. 4 for me.

@PBMichiganWolverine Yeah I'm finding the same (less the problem of a supply to last the rest of my life :-)). I sorta found the more I drank the more I drank i.e. a couple nights in a row soon turned into it several. Self control was not a strength of mine. More money for other stuff, a clearer head in the morning, a better gut and less eating of junk food cos my will power dissolves after a couple of drams are bonuses :-)
@Soba45 Always important to put quality over quantity... I was at the Whiskybase Gathering in Rotterdam last week with an amazing selection of over 2000 whiskies, but after trying some 20 malts within 3 days, I need a little break as well. Some years ago, I reviewed 2 whiskies a week, but now I am happy to spend a bit more time with every bottle and post a maximum of 2 reviews a month.
@Soba45 yeah...I’m down to just an ounce a week. I’ve noticed I’m much more looking forward to it now, as a reward almost. On the downside—-ain’t no way I’ll get through my collection in my lifetime
