Very interesting herbal and tropical fruit mineralities from caraway, tangerine, mango, guava. Tastes like something from the Amazon River.

@PBMichiganWolverine Probably yes. You can get a small bottle of the cheapest cachaça for as low as USD 2,00 around here... But it is the kind of thing I couldn’t make myself drink even mixed in a “caipirinha”.
@AntonioSchmid our guide in the Amazon kept drinking this clear liquid late at night . Thought it was vodka, but now thinking that must’ve been (cheap) cachaca
@cascode All cachaças have a strong funky vegetal note. It’s a very peculiar taste and smell. Only a few are worth drinking neat.
@cascode Tastes completely different from both. Will need to try an older cachaça to decide as the only agricoles I have tried are Clement vsop, barbancourt 150 ans, and Barbancourt 15
@worldwhiskies95 So is it more like an agricole than a molasses rum? Never had the chance to try it yet.
@PBMichiganWolverine I have all of my stuff neat
@worldwhiskies95 the 375 ml one. I think that’s a better target to open up...more realistic in finishing it in a few months. You have it neat, or few drops of water, like scotch? Or with ice?
@PBMichiganWolverine Did u get Tears 1 liter or 375 ml? U do realize u can serve it to people who u live with or visitors who like tequila to ur home or u don’t know many people into tequila.
@worldwhiskies95 I’ve been meaning to open that bottle, but my god, it’s a liter! I’ll never finish it. But better now than never I guess. Either that or I should open up that Tears of Llorana
@PBMichiganWolverine Nice. I was more referring to the tropical environment. Is there any liquor u know little to nothing about u would want to learn more about? I suggest u should have Tapatio Excelencia as ur Friday night dram tomorrow.
@worldwhiskies95 “tastes like something from the Amazon river”...I had spent a week in a small village in the Amazon, about 50 miles upstream from Manaus. Delicious, and unusual, fish from the river.
@PBMichiganWolverine It is Brazilian Sugarcane rum
What is cachaca? Like rum?
