Kyle - I'm glad I tasted it but it wasn't a bottle I felt I needed to buy. I actually lowered my initial rating after thinking about it a bit more. To me, it seems like one of those whiskies that is initially quite impressive but which quickly fades. I honestly haven't thought about this whisky since I tried it the one time and I think that pretty much says it all. My friend and I said essentially the same thing as you did (that it's right in our wheelhouse - we love all of those distilleries individually so what's not to love with a blend?) but I can't even remember what it tasted like; at this point I'm just going off of overall impressions. For me, the price would need to be closer to $100 for me to think about getting a bottle but you may have a higher price tolerance than I do. $180 isn't that much but it might still be worth it to try and find a sample somewhere first if you're questioning it. Whiskybase has around an 86 at the moment and I think that's about right - good but not great. Hope this helps
