Slightly more woody color than other 12 year olds. Soft aroma with floral and vanilla notes. Taste brings some nice vanilla and caramel notes. The alcohol comes in and warms you without knocking you out. The finish has a nice mellow oak flavor. A touch of water beings out the caramel and adds a hint of pepper. Some grassy bitter notes on the finish. Very pleasant scotch and more complex than many of similar age.
