A very well balanced Bourbon that is gentle on the nose, smooth on the palate and has a lingering finish. None of the flavors overpower the other.
On the nose you get a careful hint of toffee, raisins and brown sugar with a bit of sweetness, which I credit the maize for. The fumes are not overwhelming at all.
The palate is very smooth and oily with some spice and a bit of that smoky coal from the charred barrel. While this Bourbon is rolling on your tongue it is very gentle.
When you swirl down the brew and breathe out you do however get a small explosion of flavor, spice, dried fruits, toffee and lastly the sweet vanilla. Once done the finalist is the oak welcoming your next sip.
Great Bourbon!
