Drinking along side the 12 year. This is sweeter and creamier - some vanilla and cream, doesn't seem quite as oily, but has a better overall flavor. A bit of honey. Finish doesn't seem as woody or tannic. Doesn't have quite the same alcohol burn. For my money, I think that this is better than the 12 year. The nose here has noticeable sherry - raisins, wine, sweet.
