Finally was able to buy this. Wow the reviewers here nailed it. This bourbon is great. Poured neat, nose of dusty spice, vanilla custard, oaky cinnamon. Palate leads out 100pf strong with bold vanilla oak, more custard notes(graduated from play-dough I think) and smooth heat. The upgrade from the EW Black is very noticeable. There is even some floor wiping going on. Finish is long with oak, vanilla, cola, pepper and cinnamon. Overall for the money its fabulous!! Powerful flavor, strong yet smooth proof and unbeatable value. Plus if you want to mix with it its cheap enough and the flavor carries through with excellent presence(great with coke). This stuff makes buying anything else in the $15ish range a losing proposition

@ctbeck11 Totally agree its still a winner at price point. As a mixer its great, shit I can get a handle for 22 bucks. If youre having a party(not that that happens anymore) with a bunch
@Ctrexman I still think it’s one of the best buys in bourbon under $20, but it’s nothing special. Perfectly mediocre in every way. And that’s fine so long as the price doesn’t start creeping up.
@Ctrexman Totally feel you on this one. There are other bottom shelf whiskies that still can be somewhat interesting (in my case WT 101), but for me this isn’t one of them.
I hate to say this but my palate has completely graduated from this bourbon. Working through this latest bottle alongside other worthy whiskies it is quite clear. Its young, unrefined and cannot compete with higher level stuff nor should it. This is great for a beginner or someone just looking to get their drink on. Still a great value but once youve been around the block a few times the flaws become evident. I know i sound like a douchebag
Picked up several bottles of this to give out to some of my guys that are not very familiar with bourbon. Year end celebrating and such. Kept a bottle for my self that I opened tonight. Still have to say this is real tough to beat for the flavor you get with the extra proof. Unbeatable as a superb cheap mixer that is also good enough to enjoy neat
