Nose: On the nose I find sherry sweetness and honey. I you give the whisky a little but more time the nose turns sour. I find beeswax, sour apples and some glue.
Palate: It starts with intense honey sweetness which transforms into dry sherry, faint smoke and peaches, which ultimately leads to pleasant but rather flat oak.
Finish: short and not memorable with a herbal note that is far off the pleasant ardbeg herbs and is rather unpleasant for me.
Conclusion: I was rather disappointed with this whisky. It's a rather standard expression and overpriced. (72/100)
