One of the key 12 year old scotches I like to refer to this as a baseline to compare others as it is a little peaty and a little sweet and little fruity and little floral so if you like one component more than the others seek it out in other whiskeys this is a jack of all trades scotch delicious but master of none great starter whiskey for getting into peaty scotch.

I had never thought of it that way before, but I think you're absolutely right! It's got a bit of peatiness, sweetness, flora, and fruity all without one overwhelming the others. This would be a great introductory whisky since you can easily pick out all of the notes, especially the floral notes that usually get buried more easily than others. Thanks for the insight!
