Received this as a New Years present, been wanting to try it for some time. It’s fruity but the smokiness is very understated IMHO.
Overall I liked it, but not exactly what I had been expecting.

Thanks @deuce26 @Soba45 that's good info
@1901 I’ve only had the Glenn Scotia 15 and Victoriana. The Victoriana is a NAS cask strength. It’s good, but a little hot so I prefer the GS 15. Haven’t had any others yet. I would say the GS 15 is more savory than the SB 15 like @Soba45 was suggesting. Either way they are both fabulous.
Yes SB, this one Glen Scotia are quite different profiles so personal preference plays a big part in ranking as they are all quality drams. My personal preference is SB15 (4.5), Glen Scotia 15 (4), Kilkerran 12 (3.75) were my ratings. I'd like to revisit the later though as I've only had it once.
@deuce26 The SB15 was still very good, but it is likely a more a personal preference that I rated it the lower of the three SB i mentioned. It had the sweeter profile - i think because it is matured fully in ex-sherry casks. So if your taste runs in that direction I can see why it would be better. I must seek out the Glen Scotia. I’m not familiar with their range. What is their best?
@1901 that’s impressive better than SB 15. I really like Glen Scotia 15. It compares really well to SB 15 and it’s much cheaper in my area.
@deuce26 I’ve only started to explore Cambelltown more too and haven’t had Glen Scotia yet. But for me this was up there with the SB, which haven’t let me down yet. Not as good as SB18 or SB10, but better than SB 15 I thought.
I’ve been really wanting to try this. I’m recently discovering SB and Glen Scotia. Wondering how this compares?
Like you,I had been waiting a while to try this and recently i was able to sample it. Loved it! Sounds like you were expecting more of a smoky punch?
