Tried this in a flight with 6 half ounce pours. Others in flight were Hakushu 18, Yamazaki 18, Hibiki 21, Mars Komagatake 30, And Ichiro Port Pipe. This was 2nd to Komagatake 30 with a rich flavor profile of berries, spices, chocolate, and some smoke.
Nose: Dark Chocolate, Raisins, Sandalwood, Salted Toffee, Truffles, Smoke, Figs, Prunes, Dates, Hoisin Sauce, Morello Cherries, Sakura, Ginger, Orange Peels, Bacon, Lavender, Almond Syrup, Coconuts, Brown Butter Cake, Walnut Banana Bread
Palate: Salted Caramel, Vanilla, Smoke, Milk Chocolate, Honey, Toffee, Dark Chocolate, Coconuts, Hazlenuts, Cloves, Nutmeg, Christmas Cakes, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Coal, Blackberries
Finish: Raisins, Prunes, Salted Caramel, Coal Smoke, Ginger, Orange Peels, Cinnamon, Licorice, Mint Chocolate, Sandalwood

@worldwhiskies95 $200 for the flight of this caliber is a good price. These are some heavy hitters of top notch quality
@dubz480 The flight was $196. Normally don’t spend this much at bars and restaurants on drinks. This was a once in a lifetime experience.

@dubz480 I only tried the standard version once September 2017. It was good but doesn’t compare to the 15 or 20.
How is the Standard version? Better than Nikka from the barrel?
