Wow. This is the best $40 bourbon I’ve had. Punches above that class for sure.
Glencairn. Neat.
Nose: very pleasant. Fairly robust. No off putting alcohol vapor burn. Distinct musty-funky oak, and honeycomb. Medicinal. Black licorice.
Palate: This is downright herbal. Dry with tannic bones. Ironically, has some sweet clover honey undertones. Black licorice. Oily. Goes in easy and pleasant.
Finish: Moderate burn creeps up on you. Finish just keeps going. And changing. Long, notable finish.
Overall: Complex. Unique. Herbal.
