Having been through about half this bottle it’s finally time to get the notes down. A wonderful product on paper, family owned, no added color or chill filtration, whisky done the right way.
Nose: Apples, toasted malt, light peat. The addition of water made the nose even sweeter.
Palette: apple, honey, brine, very light peat, slightly warming. After a couple drops of water I start getting a coconut-y note
Finish: medium long, starts with a light peat that changes to malt with brine throughout.
Mouthfeel is slightly oily
Very good vfm at around $70 and may be the best 10 year old I have tasted.
