A very dynamic whiskey. The nose is a heavy campfire peat mixed with vanilla. The taste starts out with the classic peaty medicinal flavors, then dramatically shifts to sweet fruit notes, with some darker notes like toffee on the finish. The light taste of peat lingers for a very long time afterwords. Worth the price I would say.
