First tasting has been quite the impression. Initial nose, with a couple of drops added in a glencairn glass, kept conjuring images of a sharpie. Since I have never tasted a sharpie before, I brought it to my lips with interest. On the palate, I was greeted with a wonderful campfire on a beach. I could taste the gentle smoke and burning wood. I got hints of sea salt, seaweed, with maybe a touch of seashells. The finish was a gentle lingering smoke that stayed with me. This was a experience that I will not soon forget. Having never eaten a sharpie, a campfire, or a beach before; I am delighted that Laphroig 10 took me on such a great adventure.
