N: Wood shavings, toffee, peanuts.
P: soft and sweet entry, maple, bread and butter, a little cherry tartness, caramel.
Finish is medium short, with the woody tannin and toffee being the most noticeable.
This is good bourbon, and reasonable cost for the novelty. I can't say I'd want this over the 12 year, and certainly not over anything in the antique collection.

@dubz480 In my years of drinking spirits, I've only managed to get two bottles of W12. I still have about a quarter of that first bottle and haven't even opened the 2nd one.
@BDanner well played! I have only found the Special Reserve and 1 W12 @ retail in 18 months!
@tylerss20 I think we will. It’s a business cycle. The boom bought our more investment and production, which might lead to a price stabilization. And when consumer interest shifts to something else, and it always does, it’ll lead right back to closures and shut downs of those that didn’t keep up in price or customer needs
I lucked into a bottle at retail ($40) and agree with @dubz480. It’s a $40 bottle, barely. Don’t get me wrong, that’s my max price point for bourbon and I would pay again if they release another batch. I do go over occasionally for special bottles.
@PBMichiganWolverine that's ridiculous. I'm really hoping that production ramps up across the industry, and 5-10 years from now we see that artificial scarcity and hype die off.
This is going for $600+ ...so not worth that price
💯% agree. Nice enough pour (I think I paid $9) but not even at the Weller 12 level let alone the ridiculous secondary prices I see it going for. At most a $45 Bourbon and that is a stretch!
