Nose - Pot Still spices enhanced by Irish Oak. Vanilla, Chocolate, Honey, Coffee. Rich ripe fruit.
Taste - Typical Pot Still spices - clove and cinnamon - sweet chocolate and apple
Finish - exceptionally long. Sweet spices and Irish oak
The whiskey does not have an age - but has been matured between 15 and 22 years.
I managed to get 3 bottles - the 2 that’s left Cask is bottle 177, Tree 4, batch 1 and bottle 289, Tree 7, batch 1. Master Distiller Brian Norton.

@1901 yup the Enthusiast Package. I went with my son {who works for Brown Foreman / Jack Daniels } - we were very lucky in that we were the only two that went that week. The website says a minimum of 5 - but they took just us 2. Great two days.
@arcarey nice gifts! Was that the enthusiast package? It looks a thorough, packed two days...
@1901. Two Christmas presents and one bought on a two day course in the Midleton Academy - highly recommended course.
It really is a special whiskey. And three bottles? I'm jealous :)
